First of all, i want to mention all the Osx86 community and developers, thanks to them is possible this kind of things, specially to Uphuck and Roisoft, thanks for your support, bros. The list is so long to place all of you here, but you know who you are. This is not a release and i´m not a developer, is just a little help for the people that need it, and of course, this is not the first on it´s kind and will not be the last. I have created a .DMG image with a working Leopard 10.5.6, it can be easily restored onto a Pendrive/Flashdrive and boot from it, it contains an Iatkos base system 10.5.5 updated to 10.5.6 with combo update from Apple and PCEFIV9 from Netkas. It´s useful as a repairing tool/restoration/windows virus cleaning/drivers testing. The system has been keep as vanilla as possible (no modifications at all). 1. System requirements. 2. Usb preparation and install. 3. Tools included. 4. Tips. 1.System requirements A working Leopard install One pendrive/flashdrive 8gb or better partitioned as GUID (GPT) A usb booting computer capable. 2. USB preparation and install. Open disk utility on Osx and select your pendrive, go to partition tab and select one partition, click on options and select GPT as partition scheme, select ok. Create it. Go to restore tab, select as source the provided dmg, and select your pendrive as destination, don´t select the "erase" option. Click on restore, when it´s finished, go to the bootloader provided folder and run Chameleon_v1012.pkg, select the pendrive as destination (This will install PCEFIV9 as bootloader). When finished, restart your machine and try booting from the USB, first time you boot, use the -v command to check for errors. I recommend to setup on bios the USB legacy support to "off" Enjoy. 3. Tools included. Main system: Iatkos V5 updated to 10.5.6 PCEFIV9 bootloader 9.6 Voodoo kernel (Voodoo team 9.5 kernel patched by AnV to 9.6) Extra/Extensions folder on root With Hard disk chipsets drivers, smbios enabler, Ps2 drivers and a disabler (By default there are no injectors for video installed onto the system to keep it as clean as possible). Disabler.kext IOAHCIFamily.kext IOATAFamily.kext JMicronATA.kext If you want to add your own driver to the Extra/Extensions folder, please change the version of the kext to 9.9.9 so you will be sure it loads. (No need to repair permissions to it). You can take a look onto any driver already included on that folder to see where to change the version. On root you will find a tools/drivers folder containing: TOOLS: ClamxAV antivirus, to clean windows machines (The system has NTFS read/write support). Ice clean, cleanup utility. Data rescue utility. Liquid CD, recording utility. 0x0E, hexadecimal editor. IORegistry explorer, registry viewer utility. Property list editor, edit .plist files. Pacifist demo, to extract packages from install dvd, installers, etc. DSDT parcher by Fassl. Show/hide files commands. Osx86tool by pcwiz Repair permissions tool. Temperature monitor. UnrarX. DRIVERS: I didn´t want to pick every driver floating on internet for hackintosh, so i did a little compilation of the most popular drivers, if you need one driver and is not there, please use google to find it. Optional Network drivers: Some Wifi installers. (Some of them have a tiger install program, they work also under Leopard). If you need to install any non wifi network driver, please first use Osx86tool´s "View device/vendor id´s" and check your network card Id´s so you can find it on the list. Please take a look onto document´s end for the drivers list. (By device Id´s). Video drivers: Some Nvidia,Ati and Intel injectors. Chipset drivers: ICH10 support by Cyclonefr. Audio tools: Taruga parcher 1.20. Hda enabler. 4.TIPS You can use this pendrive edition to check if a computer will recognize chipset drivers, network drivers, video drivers.... Use a 16gb pendrive to hold the working system and the provided DMG and bootloader, once you know wich drivers are the best for the host computer, restore the DMG you hold on the pendrive to the internal hard disk following the same method as the one you used for restoring to the pendrive and copy under Extra/Extensions the drivers needed for that computer. (Audio drivers must be installed onto System/Library/Extensions) If you have a windows partition, then just erase the partition for Leopard and restore there, after that, run de bootloader installer. Faber73 Posted January 24, 2009 Share Posted January 24, 2009 Ho un' installazione su PenDrive che funziona alla grande. Non ho seguito nessuna guida ma semplicemente effettuato un' installazione come se la Pen fosse un HDD qualsiasi (nel mio caso si tratta di retail, quindi boot da ISO e poi installazione di EFI V9). L' unico neo è riguardo al Kernel che su macchine che non supportano vanilla crasha irrimediabilmente. In altre sono invece costretto a fare il boot in Single User e cancellare a manina l' Extensions.kext.
