Berserk87
SO i got a wind for christmas and im currently running windows 7 beta on it, which runs really well, but since i got my wind ive been interested in getting OSX working on it( after seeing a couple articles saying everything in OSX works on the wind) browsing the wind forums someone mentioned a pre compiled OSX iso that included the wind drivers, so i download it "MSIWindosx86.iso" burned that at 2x, pulled out my IDE dvd reader/writer, attached the IDE to USB adapter i bought, and set my wind to boot from usb dvd drive. everything started loading until i got a message saying. (edit: just typed the entire error message in the hopes that someone can help me) BSD root: disk1s2, major 14, minor 5 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, Sense_key = 0X00, ASC = 0x20, ASCQ = 0X00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, Sense_key = 0X06, ASC = 0x29, ASCQ = 0X00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, Sense_key = 0X00, ASC = 0x20, ASCQ = 0X00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, Sense_key = 0X06, ASC = 0x29, ASCQ = 0X00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, Sense_key = 0X00, ASC = 0x20, ASCQ = 0X00 disk1s2: I/O error. 0[level 3] [ReadUID 0] [Facility com.apple.system.fs] [ErrType IO] [ErrNo 5] [IOType Read] [PBlkNum 1717028] [LBlkNum 384] [FSlogMsg ID 77798097] [FSLogMsgOrder First] 0[level 3] [ReadUID 0] [Facility com.apple.system.fs] [DevNode root_device] [MountPt /] [P ath /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib] [FSLogMsgID 77798097] [FSLogMsgOrder Last] SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, Sense_key = 0X06, ASC = 0x29, ASCQ = 0X00 ive been going through google for 2 days now, and havnt found a solution that has worked for me. that majority of the results suggesting that the dvd was burned too fast and it was corrupted. so i burned a new one at 1x, same error message. then i burned a 3rd one at 8x, which also failed. im burning these on dvd-rw's. i hope ive included all relevant info and you guys can help me, ive already gone through google and this forum searching for fixes before posting here. UnaClocker
Try putting that ISO onto a USB thumb drive instead. There are guides around explaining how to do that. SirReal
Seems to me I read somewhere that to get DVD Drive to work, you have to change the USB speed from 'Full High Speed' to 'High Speed'. Might be worth a shot. SirReal Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148235-osx-wind-sam-read-or-write-error/#findComment-1050575 Share on other sites

Berserk87
i went back to the leopard hd install helper tool, tried again. I noticed that the status gave a "change partition to AF : Faild" (yes it says Faild) did a google search, download paragon partition manager and changed the partition ID to AF, boots up! its installing right now.
