thehankstar
One of my professors is letting me borrow Final Cut Studio 2 for a couple of my projects, so keep that in mind and suggest improvements if you feel it will help me run that app better. Also, I will be running Vista64 on this setup and am hoping to make this a setup that will last a few years as I am going through a "tight" stage financially. Only thing I'm not too sure about is the video card. I REALLY wanted to go with the GTX260 but I know it's not supported at this time and I have a project I was planning on working on with this rig before Snow Leopard comes out. I don't want to hear about how I should get a real Mac either... no Mac will run decently on the budget I currently have (less than 1500)... The 9800GTX+ should run Final Cut Pro just fine right? JBLanteigne
I would give up vista and get 1x 500gb for OS X and a 1.5tb for data... with video editing, it's easy to fill your drives. Tek
For video editing, you will really want to look at doing a stripe set of disks (a couple of small disks in RAID 0 for a scratch disk maybe?)
