I recently installed a vanilla version of leopard 10.5.5 and 10.5.6 did all the required updates but I am unable to use the airport utility program to find my airport extreme and express...i am connected to the extreme via a gigabit hub to which is also connected the airport express...when i run the utility, it scans for devices with no results...both my router and express are functioning perfectly...

i searched the forum to no avail. Kinda ironic that I bought all that apple hardware antipating a shift over and now the only original apple stuff i have doesn't work with my leopard hackintosh

any thoughts?

please anyone with some hints...i reinstalled from 10.5.1 retail dvd and then ran airport utility and found my extreme...in the course of updating to 10.5.5 i have now lost the ability to find my router again...don't have a clue and none of the posts that i've looked at have any solutions...thx

i am able to find both the extreme and express if i use "configure other" from the menu and enter their IP addresses and passwords, however they still do not show up in the scan, or in itunes....

doesn't anyone have any suggestions? this is the final step in my installation and its really irking me..

I just fixed this issue, simply install the driver for your specific network card for me it was a RealTek 1000 RT1000 driver from Prystar....

enjoy.

I have the same issue but am using the wifi connected to the airport extreme. Running 10.5.4 iatkos... ? Using an atheros based N card. wifi works great just wont find utility?

Thanks,

Louis
