adlai
I ended up wiping windows and completely replacing it with OS X, because I couldn't manage a dual boot solution very well. Well, now it looks like the best solution for dual booting is apple's bootcamp. Anyone gotten it working on a hackintosh? jgrimes80
I think it'd be better to post this is the PC forum to get a more prompted response...IMO Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14730-boot-camp-on-a-hackintosh/#findComment-94452 Share on other sites
inferno10
I highly doubt Boot Camp would work on a Hackintosh. The software most likely hooks deep into EFI and the firmware of the system, which would most likely make it incompatible with your hackintosh. jgrimes80
you should also note that "bootcamp" isn't a bootloader, the means of choosing an operating system (option key) has been stock on macs for quite some time... All bootcamp is is a partitioner that doesn't force you do initialize you HD in addition to handing over the appropiate drivers... someone correct me if I'm wrong... but bootcamp is Apple iconic way of centralizing everything for users; disk utility, drivers etc. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14730-boot-camp-on-a-hackintosh/#findComment-94486 Share on other sites
