totalcomputergeek
Hardware Specs: CPU: AMD Phenom 8450 Triple-Core Processor 2.10 GHz Motherboard: Asus M3A78-EM HardDrive: 1TB WD SATA HDD Chipset: AMD 780G / SB700 Memory: 2 x 2GB 800MHz RAM Expansion Slots: 1 x PCI Express x16 Slot 1 x PCI Express x1 Slot 2 x PCI 2.2 Slots Graphics/Video: Integrated ATI Raedon HD 3200 GPU USB: 8 USB Ports Storage Ports: 5 x SATA 3Gb/s Ports 1 x 1394 Port Audio: Realtek ALC1200 High Definition Audio 8-Channel LAN: Gigabit LAN Bios: AMI BIOS I managed to install Leopard with iDeneb 10.5.5. But after installation, Leopard wont boot up. Everything is fine untill the bootloader loads and asks to select the partition. When Leopard's partition is selected, it simply restarts. Note: 1. I am dual booting it with Microsoft Windows Vista x64. 2. The hard drive was not getting detected in the installation. Then I changed the SATA to AHCI Mode and then it worked fine and I could proceed with the installation. 3. I went with the installation without installing a single kext provided in the installation as I couldn't find any for my hardware specs in the list provided. PLEASE HELP! linuxgx
If your looking for simply using the board you need to first install osx to an external drive and apply the SB700 Chipset Kext's from Here - Link If your using a Phenom X4 CPU though I recomend this instead of iDeb I'm thinking about creating my own OSX86 Distro with the Voodo Kernel but for now this should help most of you Keywords: Phenom SB700 780G M3A78-EM http://www.GoBugz.com - Web Development Starting at $59 a site://http://www.GoBugz.com - Web Develop...$59 a site://http://www.GoBugz.com - Web Develop...$59 a site Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147268-ideneb-on-asus-m3a78-em/#findComment-1071726 Share on other sites
shotta90
Ironically I built a new system with same specs and Ideneb 10.5.5 works flawless, with exception to choppy audio, and my IDE DVD drive not showing up. I just haven't had enough time to get some experiments on making things works the way they should and I'm using the HDMI to my 40" samsung, here are 2 pics for your con.., I'm current running my video at 1400x1050. I would like to resolve the audio issue, so thanks for your input./ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147268-ideneb-on-asus-m3a78-em/#findComment-1081583 Share on other sites
NamV
I also have this M3A78-EM board running with an AMD Kuma 7750, and 2GB of OCZ DDR2 800Mhz memory, I didn't use the onboard graphic but a EVGA 8800GS (aka 9600GSO) 320MB. I installed iDeneb 1.4 (Leopard 10.5.6) on it and almost everything worked out of the box, sleep and everything (I've not tested Firewire and e-SATA since I don't have any peripheral utilizing that interface yet). I did not install the audio driver during installation process. Now that I wanted to, how do I get it out of the DVD? When I insert the iDeneb DVD again, it simply prompt me to restart so I can install it again. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
