akakillroy
I have been doing much reading here and still feel the need to at least be pointed in the right direction on configuring my Video and Audio drivers. Dell System Optiplex 760, has a ATI 3450 video, swapped out to a ATI 2400 XT (HD) So far I have networking working correctly. Just can't seem to figure out the video part. Booted with Boot-132 and OEM Leopard, and updated to 10.5.6 Updates seem to be working great. I tried the EFI update but seems that I am not understanding how to modify the kext XML to accommodate my video (ATI 2400 XT (HD)) Also downloaded the Chameleon HDD patch but the directions to that are also very vague, Says to Copy the contents of your "Extra" folder to "Extra Contents" directory link? So I am still booting from CD. There is a lot of information here, but somewhat overwhelming to sift through, yes already read through all the How to's but not much specifically on 10.5.5-6 Leopard and newer machines. Tried following this guide and no video:http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=142913&mode=threaded&pid=1027131 but did not work, nor did the audio, network worked once I updated to 10.5.5 from 10.5.2 Tried this too but the file no longer exists:http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=107526&hl=Radeon+3450 Thanks for your help in advance. Let me know if you need any more information. The 760 is similar to the 755 so I think the net/audio is the same I am not 100% for sure. I am glad to test anything you have and report back. Thanks in advance.
