I'm in the market for a new laptop and can't afford a macbook or macbook pro.

Are there any non-apple laptop models that simultaneously aren't netbooks and also work natively? I don't want to deal with an MSI Wind/Dell Mini 9.

Is there anything 99/100% compatible that isn't a netbook? If there is, I can't find it on this forum.

wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.2/Portables - a list of working laptops! I have had great experiences with the cheaply available Acer 2480 and 3680 series.

There are many laptops working, and many others with similar hardware (chipset, CPU, GFX etc etc)

I saw that, that's why I posted here. There are tons to sift through and none that I saw worked natively or perfectly. No one knows of a model that just plain works on the vanilla kernel, sleeps properly, QE+CI? There is no one known model that people recommend?

EDIT: I looked up both of those models, they aren't working natively and they've got some *terrible* hardware.

They are working natively. And everything works perfectly. Of course they have {censored} hardware but they're cheap. Well I don't know what your price range is! What's your approximate budget?

There are some Dell laptops that work well, Dell 1395 and 1505 Wireless LAN works perfectly which is nice. Also they're completely customizable.

Get an XPS M1330 or 1530, or for cheaper you can get an Inspiron 1420 which works perfectly too. They're on clearance sale at Dell right now!
