I just installed osx 10.5.5 Retail dvd on my nv570 Amd machine...

Forget about put dsmos.kext in extensions folder.. works!! Did i miss some importen Topics in Forum or IRC?

I have a

- m2n-sli deluxe

- AMD xp 5200+

- ati HD2600

- and a already installed system 10.5.3 -> from where i installed 10.5.5 on second HD

and 10.5.6 delta upd right after it

then...

- put some needed kexts for ATIhd2600 & ADI1988 & Forcedeth there

- also: fixed ApplePS2controller.kext, SmBiosEFI.kext

- StageXNU 9.4.0 Kernel

- removed IntelCPUpowermanagment-kext, AppleHWsensor.kext, AppleThermal.kext(about_fun)

- run AMD-Util over it -> patches-Folder in root then reboot to sec HD

- booted with -v -f -s

- >chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/*

- >chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/*

- >chown -R root:wheel /mach*

- >chown -R 644 /mach*

- >cd /patches

- >./replace.sh

- >./patcher ./cpuid.txt

- >touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

- >passwd

- >exit

it started without dsmos.kext / appledecrypt.kext or IntelCPUPMDisabler.kext(coz i del IntelCPUpowermanagment.kext)

checked it a few times its StageXNU9.4.0 not voodoo, and no kext like dsmos with different names

is this coz the new nvenet.kext, nvsmu.kext where in 10.5.5??
