Please everybody i need help!

I cannot install iatkos on my new computer because it hangs in the com.apple.driver. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin problem (I think everybody has heard this problem) :P .

It just hangs there. My system spec: Asus p5ql-e motherboard; Intel q6600 2.4 ghz ; 2GB ram; Nvidia 9600GT 1 GB.

I have already done this in my sony vaio notebook.

Please help and thanks in advance!

Don't know anything about iatkos but

you could try disabler.kext you can download it from here

http://www.infinitemac.com/f7/kext-package...-install-t1823/

its included in the zip for ga-p35-ds3l

I am trying to install iatkos 10.5.1 , 10.5.2 but i cant get to the installer .

How can i select a disabler or a kernel version.

(Please be pationt with me cuz i have never had this problems with my notebook)

By can't get to the installer I asume you mean you cannot even boot in to it with the dvd, if this is the case I would think the easiest way is just to use another distro, for intel I would try kalyway 10.5.1 or .2 Never had any problems with either.

I boot into the DVD but i can't continue further cuz it hangs at:

MAC Framework successfully initialized

using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers

dsmos: Starting...

Extension "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style.

I have set sata to AHCI and have tried cpus=1 , -x -f -s but none of them works.

I have got some acpi options in my bios but i dont know what to do

here are some photos

Hope they can help:)

Try iAtkos 5i

or try Kalyway 10.5.2

is this rreally gonna help cuz i have a slowww connection.

Someone downloaded 4i for me and i will get it but im not sure.

what about the disabler or Voodoo kernel 9.5.0 you mentioned before . How can i do that.

boot with the installation dvd and search for kernels

i have never install iatkos 1 only 4 and 5 so i think version 1 dont have voodoo but search for kernel toh and install that

unselect everything and only install kernel toh and try that

you can also install everything but try first with kernel toh

I cant get to the installation menu. It just hangs at apple grey logo. I posted a picture with -v flag before.

what about the Voodoo kernel 9.5.0 you told me about. What is it and how can i select it.

It doesn't matter if you can't get the DVD to boot.

Post a screenshot of the CPU configuration page from your BIOS.

He already tried booting with CPUS=1 and that didn't work.

So a modded BIOS won't help. Something else is wrong.

Tiran, can you do what I asked you here:

uh..I'm sorry to say that it looks fine!

I've seen some people recommend disabling virtualization but I don't believe it matters. Maybe I'll change my opinion on that once I can afford to buy a CPU that supports it!
