minko
Hy all. Now there are a few people that have updated to 10.4.6! I have to and my Graphikcard GMA900 isen't supported there. My question, does the same happens with the x1600, any experience yet? I want to buy a saphiere, and want to know. Today I have tested a sapphire x1600 pro with 512MB. But there was no chance to run it corectley (changed the id in the atix1000.kext), I think because of the 512 memory inside, but dunno exactley.. Let me know PS: Or is there an other .kext for this card around? I have read there are modified .kext for sapphire cards!!?? minko
I had to change the com.Apple.boot, now it locks good, but I have Mouse artifacts and in System Profiler it shows me only 256MB. Is there a simply way that my system recognize the full memory? And whats about the Mouse artifacts? Alexiase, do you got this too? here my xbench results (I must confess, it's not that good I thought): Results 106.90 System Info Xbench Version 1.2 System Version 10.4.6 (8I1119) Physical RAM 1024 MB Model ADP2,1 Drive Type SAMSUNG SP2004C Quartz Graphics Test 90.44 Line 93.54 6.23 Klines/sec [50% alpha] Rectangle 71.15 21.24 Krects/sec [50% alpha] Circle 68.24 5.56 Kcircles/sec [50% alpha] Bezier 87.21 2.20 Kbeziers/sec [50% alpha] Text 226.28 14.16 Kchars/sec OpenGL Graphics Test 125.34 Spinning Squares 125.34 159.00 frames/sec User Interface Test 110.77 Elements 110.77 508.38 refresh/sec Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14600-ati-x1600-under-1046/#findComment-93799 Share on other sites

c0nfused
For me mouse artifacts occur when you are scrolling a page using a scroll wheel. It just leaves a trail of mouse pointers as you scroll. The mouse also becomes completely unusable when you exit a fullscreen OpenGL game (like Warcraft 3). dewdoobrown
Does the tearing occur with Mouse Locator or Mousepose when u exit games? How about fullscreen visualizer (itunes) or screensavers?
