Hy all.

Now there are a few people that have updated to 10.4.6! I have to and my Graphikcard GMA900 isen't supported there. My question, does the same happens with the x1600, any experience yet? I want to buy a saphiere, and want to know.

Today I have tested a sapphire x1600 pro with 512MB. But there was no chance to run it corectley (changed the id in the atix1000.kext), I think because of the 512 memory inside, but dunno exactley..

Let me know

PS: Or is there an other .kext for this card around? I have read there are modified .kext for sapphire cards!!??

I am waiting for my hackintosh to come in the mail, it should be here tomorrow! I have bought the same card too. Once my box get here, I will help you. Can u tell me what is ur device id's are. Mean while I can try patching some kext files manually/hexedit and pass them along to ya to test :)

try a lot of things

finally I update to 10,4,6

here is the result

then went to the

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

with nano I edited the com.apple.Boot.plist

in console mode (sudo -s ...... password)

cd /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

nano com.apple.Boot.plist

I added

just under the line <key>Kernel Flags</key>

<string>-v "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32"</string>

then CTRL X type Y to accept writing

I restored access right with

chmod -R 755 com.apple.Boot.plist

at least

chown -R root:wheel com.apple.Boot.plist

reboot good luck

I had to change the com.Apple.boot, now it locks good, but I have Mouse artifacts and in System Profiler it shows me only 256MB.

Is there a simply way that my system recognize the full memory?

And whats about the Mouse artifacts? Alexiase, do you got this too?
