fuhayer Posted January 10, 2009 Share Posted January 10, 2009 i bought a new laptop HP Compaq 6730s with following configuartion: P8600 2.4 800 Mhz Ati HD 3450 display 250 GB SATA ICH9 HDD 4 GB DDR2 RAM i tried to install iDeneb 10.5.5, iAtkos v5i and iPC 10.5.6 several times but all the installations are being interrtuping at the last 5 minutes by giving error "cannot read from disc pls retry to install etc..." and it asks for restart. i copied dvds to a new blank dvds and reinstalled but always i got the same error message at the same minutes. what can be the problem as i do not think all my DVDs are corrupted though i copied them to new DVD many times !! any idea pls ? Try booting from an external dvd drive. That's the only way for me to get osx dvds booting on my system... Oh sorry, I misread your post. Never had that error, but maybe an external dvd will help anyway...
