Installing Leo4Allv3 on Vaio FS315S.. how?

I have searched the Wiki on compatibility list, on the Sony list there is this computer listed and it seems to be working fine. I do not have this computer, however a very similar one - the FS415M, I have checked and compared specs on the Sony website between the two laptops and they are not very different.

If i were to install Leo4Allv3 on my computer (check specs) how would i go about it and which kernels and options would be best for my system. Since on the FS315S version - video, audio, wifi etc work well, however i do not know how to make these work best on mine.

Also in the FS4xxx versions they introduced the i915PM chipset, would this make much difference?

Thanks for any help.

Dang the specs of your laptop were hard to find....but I got them XD

Kernel: Your gonna want the 9.2 sleep kernel. It's the only one thats SSE2 compatible. I would later suggest getting the 9.5 voodoo kernel.

Audio: Just go with AzaliaAudio for now.

Chipset: since you have ICH6 southbridge go with the ICHx drivers.

Video: I would just use what the one vaio had in the HCL wiki.

Wifi: the iDarwin 2200 drivers

Feel free to pm me in you need anything else

Thanks a lot! Just to ask, what is the 9.5 Voodoo Kernel, and also how is it different to the 9.2 Sleep Kernel?

Also, if i wanted to update to the Voodoo kernel, how would i go about it, would it require reinstallation?

Edit: On the Video drivers (checked from Wiki list) it says on this website:

That i need to install via this method to get my graphics working

or NV 6150 Go,you need MacVidia(NVDriver.kext,NVidia.kext)

and NVinjectGo.kext and keep NVDANV*, GeForce*,

then don't forgot remove IONDRVSupport.kext,

and you can get change display resolution,

but no CI/QE support.

good lock for you all.

If you have no NVDANV* it doesnt matter (i also dont have this kext)

Dont use the installer! Extract the kext manually and use kext help or copy it. Probably just the 1.081 version from MacVidia will work (version 1.07 didnt work for me)

So maybe the QE/CI will work, sometime :-)

I am a bit confused how to do this... i haven't worked with kext files etc yet

Planning to read Korrupted's post - http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=14496

Again, thanks for your help

Added Edit: I also saw that for

SATA/IDE: works, needed to copy after installation all ATA extensions from DVD to /System/Library/Extensions/ folder from terminal as on the Wiki, firstly why is this needed and secondly how do i do it, or what will happen if i don't.

(Sorry for all the edits, keep finding more stuff which i am a bit lost/confused about)
