cybercow
i go with iDeneb 10.5.5 and stageXNU kernel 9.4, i have an abit KN8 ultra mobo, for sound drivers i choose ALC850 and AC97, after the installation of iDeneb everything works wonderfull including sound. even if i upgrade to new vodoo kernel 9.5 the sounds work perfectly and all is fine. now if i install iLife08, something screw up the sound. with or without the afterwards cumulative iLife updates, the sound icon is there, but i loose the sound in very random order to get it back also in random order. i think should GarageBand or iTunes update/screw something ? thats very strange. now if i restore the 9.4 kernel nothing changes the sounds randomly disappears and appears again ... is not about kernel. ok i can without iLife, but ... all that cool sw inside is too cool to not have it up the hands when u need it, even for simple youtube vid editing/posting ... playing some strange music when bored etc ... some help would be nice, thank you. ohabu
I have the same problem on the build in my signature. Voodoo kernel, 850 kext. The fix for me is to change from 6ch to 2ch in the Audio Midi Setup app, but it randomly sets itself back to 6ch.
