You can also edit your hosts site to avoid connecting to the adobe update servers. You will find a list of these at the usual torrent sites. Ensure that you are not connected to the internet (disconnect net connection or unplug your modem). This is essential - otherwise you may render the serial key unusable to everyone. 2. Double-click "Adobe Photoshop CS4". Once mounted, move the setup file within to Applications, and install Photoshop (use serial above). Do not open Photoshop yet. 3. Double click "Photoshop patch" and mount it. Drag and drop the Photoshop [k] file to Applications folder. Double click it. A window with a drop-zone comes up -click "Select Photoshop CS4_App" and drag and drop the real "Adobe Photoshop CS4" file from within Applications to it. 4. Open a Terminal. Type "sudo cp /etc/hosts /etc/hosts.orig" without quotes. This makes a backup of hosts file. Then type in "sudo pico /etc/hosts" without quotes. In the window that comes up, scroll down to the last line (by using your arrow key), hit enter and add the line "127.0.0.1 activate adobe" without quotes. Save the file by pressing Control+X, then control+Y and hit enter.
