George Ramos
Hello all I presently have a Dell Dimension E510. I am having some issues getting Leopard on it. I have tried the Following DVD’s iDened 10.5.5 No success takes me to the Boot1: Error 2nd install the PC just resets) iPC 10.5.6 ( No success takes me to the Boot1: Error 2nd install the PC just resets) iAtkos 10.5.5 No success takes me to the Boot1: Error 2nd install the PC just resets) Kalyway 10.5.2 Installs fine but drivers are giving me an issue. I can get the VGA, NIC working. I want a newer version of leopard on the PC. Can anyone suggest what I can do to get these to work. Below are the specs of the PC I am using: -Pentium 4 3.0 HT ( Hyper Threading) Single Core -512 DDR2 RAM 533mhz -160 SATA Hard drive ( No other OS on it nor wanted) Have erased it and labeled it with Journaled Case Sensative) -On board Intel 950 VGA -On board Intel Lan Intel Pro/100 VE -On Board Audio Sigmatel 9220 -SCSI DVD-R I can install Kalyway 10.5.2 and 10.5.1 but I wanted the updated ones I have downloaded to work. Not sure what kernel I should be using or boot loader. Done a lot of searching and can not find an answer. Any help would be great. Basically how to solve the boot1:error or the constant rebooting after successful install are the issues I have having with the new DVD.
