Never tried before, so I haven't failed yet (nor succeeded), just want to make sure I do this shiznat right!

Think I will have any problems? Thanks in advance! :( Also, I can't find a tutorial link. I'm using iAtkos 5i. Any input would be great too, thanks!

Hi men, I told you that i have the same computer =D

 

To install Leopard, you can only use IPC 10.5.6 (search in Torrent), I have tried with iAtkos i5, iDenev, Jas, Leo4All, and more few distros, without succesfull.

 

You have to choose the next configuration:

 

Video: NVdarwin 512MN (Is the only which works, but Leopard recognize it as an defaul video card with 32MB ;), I tried to search some kext, but i didn't have lucky)

Audio: Not working yet, if you can find some kext for alc663, tell me.

Ethernet: Realtek R1000

WiFi: There is not driver for Intel Link 5100

Fixes: ACPI Fix, CPUS=1 one core fix, and PS/2 Keyboad (only keyboard)

 

After installation, start Leo in verbose mode (press F8 and the write -v) if it restart, use CPUS=1 and verbose mode (cpus=1 -v)

 

Well if you can find some for video and audio, it will be welcome :)

Hi guys! I have the same laptop, i have succesfully installed iDeneb 1.3 and 1.4 on G50VT-X1 trough THIS modded Bios! This Bios get worked all version of Leopard!

I have installed this bios, then I have installed iDeneb 1.4 with this configuration:

- AppleAzaliaAudio

- ICHx Fixed

- Apple SMBIOS 800

- Realtek R1000

- Battery Manager

 

For the Audio I have founded THIS thread but I can't get this driver to work :rolleyes:

 

For the Video driver I have installed first the 9000 Series Driver by AquaMac (download here) but Leopard recognise the Video card like a 32MB...

Then i don't remember well what i have done with NVDANV50Hal.kext and OSX86Tools and finally that works with QE/CI enabled... but i have reinstalled Leopard and now i don't know what i have done to get Video Card full works... :P

 

The 9800m GS is a G94 Video Card (the device id is 062B), the G94 is the same of the 9600m GT. I remember that i have followed a tutorial for the 9600m Gt to get it works..

 

So look THIS or THIS

Mmh..I'm trying various method but i get ever black screen or the gray apple logo in loop...

 

Besides, in 9000 Series Driver v2, there is no support for 9800m GS, but for 2 another card G94M (the same of 9800m GS): 9700m GTS (device id: 062A) and 9800m GTS (device id: 062C).

 

I now get to change all device id of this driver 062A to 062B... i think it get work with Nvdarwin! I'm trying, i let you know! :D

Finally i get it works!!!

Modify the info.plist NVDANV50Hal.kext and substitute the device id 062A -> 062B

Remove NVDAResman.kext (make a backup first)

Use Osx86Tools to create EFI Strings! Reboot

 

Et voilà!! The only problem is that deleted NVDAResman is not possible to turn Quartz Extreme on...there is a solution?

You are the best ;) I'll change the device id.

Just in case could you send me NVDANV50Hal.kest and EFI string please, couse i have a lot of doubt. Some of them are:

 

First, info.plist has to be like this:

<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>

<string>0x062B10de</string>

or like this:

<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>

<string>0x062B10de&0xffe0ffff</string>

 

Second, what do you chose for laptop display in the EFI string (for example: BAAAAAAA GQACAAAA AAAABwAA AAA=)

 

Third, how do you create efi string exactly, i use OSX86TOOL, and create it in GFX, but I'm not sure that this is the correct method!

 

Could you help me please! :)

 

Also, now I'm going to do it for myself :)

the same problem that you (QE) and I can't change the resolution 1024 x 768 to 1366 x 768 :)

ha finally i have found something on this! i m using a asus g50vt x5 ( no difference besides processor speeds) I m just curious what bios mod did you use G50V as209?? is that the one im not trying to screw up my brand new pc Ha! Are you guys dual booting vista and mac? ( i assume you are since you guys are having trouble with video) I m pretty pumped to test this out! message back :D

Hi KidNameRyan, in my case, i didn't need modify the bios, I only used IPC 10.5.6 FINAL. And I customize it with:

 

-Intel ICHx Sata Drive

-Realtek R1000

-ACPI Fix

-CPUS = 1 one core fix

-PS/2 Keyboard fix

 

 

Audio, wifi and video card isn't working.

 

And yes, I have dual booting, with Vistra, Leopard and Ubuntu. Sometime I have errors, but I fix it with Unbuntu CD Live, here there is a Partition Tools, and you have to pick that all partitions are "First Partition"

 

 

 

I hope your progress in the graphic card

The Audio works well with THIS :)

 

The Wifi is a mission impossible, so use a Wifi pen drive

 

The Video Card...emh...it's half-working!!

 

I have tested Titan.kext but not work, NVinject too.....

That modded bios is requested to install all the version of Leopard (besides iPC 10.5.6 that have already a fix for Intel ICHx Sata). Tri-boot Vista, Leopard, Ubuntu 8.10 ^_^

 

Sometime I have errors, but I fix it with Unbuntu CD Live

 

I fix error with -s in Darwin's boot, it boot in single-user mode and open terminal!

i got os x installed on my laptop guys, of course i am having the same problems such as wifi( i will just get a usb device), Video card ( which i just used 86tools and changed the res but i m reading up on how to fix it all), SOUND! Theres no success with sound i have tried the stuff you guys have left posted but i dont know what to do. Any advice or maybe directions on how you guys got the sound to work! ha Thanks for the advice on the bios guys i reallly appreciate the feedback!

So I followed this guide here and the only problem I have is that the internet does not work via ethernet? I installed the realtekR1000 but I cant seem to connect to the internet...

Could you get some progress?

I have tried everything, but unsuccesfull! I get to try one last thing with NVinstaller, my theory is that it works! I have tried NVinjct, NVinjectGo, NVkush, NVdarwin, Titan, Natit..all the injectors!!!

I let you know soon! Aquamac help me on his forum HERE.

 

I had seen THIS thread, the laptop is very similar to G50Vt-x1, same motherboard, same CPU, same RAM, very similar Video Card (9800m GTS is the old version of 9800m GS!)...i think it works!

 

I get to try!! :(

With the sounds I have problems too, it no ever works.. but i try to solve first video card..

You have to create a PPoe internet connection (if you have ADSL modem), under Ethernet!
