bmdam
Hi, I'm trying to install OS X 86 on my HP Pavilion. I have: AMD Athlon 64 x2 ProcessorBroadcom 802.11 Wireless CardNvidia Geforce Go 6150nvidia nforce network controllerConexant High Definition Audioand 2GB of RAM Are all of these devices compatible and provide efficient stability running OS X. I have a Kalyway disk, but I'm not entirely sure what version. I downloaded it a little while back, maybe six months tops. EDIT: I try to install and just get repeating error about Apple not finding a PS/2 keyboard. POSSIBLE SOLUTION: PLUG IN A USB KEYBOARD? It's weird it's referring to a PS/2 device on a LAPTOP! UGH. I also have a dual boot on this computer already, I have Vista Home Premium and Windows XP Pro. Coolin93
Yes plugging in a USB keyboard should help! I have a Compaq Presario F572US and its very similar to the dv6000. bmdam
I got it! It just seemed to work this time. NEW PROBLEM: When I boot up the computer it just displays NO OPERATING SYSTEM FOUND. I didn't install it over my Vista or XP partitions. I also set up the installation CORRECTLY, I've done Kallyway on OLDER machines running AMD before, but never a laptop. What's wrong? I may be able to fix it through Mac but I can't get the CD bootloader to work. What do you type to boot from the CD? But a better question is, does anyone know how I can get back into Vista? Please help! Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/145143-os-x86-install-on-hp-pavilion-dv6000/#findComment-1031173 Share on other sites
