Paramount
Hi... I'm running a Leo4All v5, updated to 10.5.5 using a pre-patched installation. In a AMD Athlon X2. How could I update to 10.5.6 ? It's MacOS X Server... not the regular one. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144819-anyway-to-update-leo4allv5-to-1056/ Share on other sites
Cruxado
On the same boat myself... I take it the DSDT has to be patched. DSDT patcher from fassl http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...t=0&start=0 and apparently there's this to worry about "IMPORTANT UPDATE: after fixing dsdt and before installing 10.5.6, you HAVE to install either PM disabler or Appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext, otherwise u will have freeze durring installation, because new appleintelcpu… will get loaded, and this new kext isnt compatiblw with 10.5.5" But from what i have seen, regular installs of leo have updated without any real problem. Try it out and let me know how it goes! ==== Info from netkas.org Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144819-anyway-to-update-leo4allv5-to-1056/#findComment-1036022 Share on other sites

And you will want to keep a copy of Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 handy so that you can copy it over after the update. The seatbelt causes kernel panics when opening disk images. What kernel are you using? Voodoo? I know you can use Zeph's Update Utility to patch updates. I dont see why it wouldn't work with server edition. You are going to want to back everything up though before you do any type of update. Id clone the drive with SuperDuper and apply the update to it first just to make sure.
