hoangbv15 Posted January 4, 2009 Share Posted January 4, 2009 I have iATKOS 10.5.6 installed successfully and everything just working fine, NVidia 9500GT driver with QE fully enabled, it is just beautiful... but whenever i tried to change screen resolution or play a fullscreen game, the screen just went black while i could hear the game music... I've been doing some google but haven't come up with any good news, so I guess I'm the only one facing this problem. Can you guys tell me what is wrong here? Should I delete some kexts to make it work? deltanyneh20 Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 I am running IPC 10.5.6 and I am having the same trouble. I have everything installed and I turned quartz gl on with OSx86 Tools. I get the same error when I go to system prefs and try to change my screen resolution as well. Hrm...... I wapped out the whole MAC partition and installed iPC 10.5.6, and then finally figured out that iPC just worked perfectly with my video and sound EFI strings, that's just fantastic. wait a minute... the change resolution - black screen problem is still there. It seems that this thing is a must-have disadvantage of installing MAC on a non-MAC system. While I've seen that the only possible way now is to do a sleep-unsleep, but oh well, sleep doesn't work for me with iPC, it just sleeps, and never wake up , even with the OpenHaltRestart.kext.
