Jeremyreid Posted January 4, 2009 Share Posted January 4, 2009 I recently installed iDeneb 10.5.5 without any problems. Now when I try to install spore from a disc on it it will not recognize the disc and it lets me eject it with the hardware (Which Mac does not let you do, Mac only alows software ejects). It won't recognize any disc I put in! I mean it don't even register that there is a disc in the drive. Please Help! burnin Posted January 5, 2009 Share Posted January 5, 2009 i just searched for it, and here is the solution: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&id=36067 deleted the old kext (/System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext) then use kexthelper or osx86tools to install the new kext. Reboot. Watch DVD's !!
