MacNutty
I would like some information on dual booting vista and mac osx. I already have Vista installed and it works great. But I would like to add Mac. Can anyone help me? Follow this: 1. Creating a primary partition. - use disk management to shrink your existing partition if you do not have a blank primary partition. Atleast 10 GB is required, you can keep more if you have a large disk. - use diskpart - select disk 0 - create partition primary id=af - select partition <newly created partition no.> - active (to make OSX partition active) - reboot 2. Reboot keeping OSX install disk (use any distro available, I prefer iDeneb / Kalyway) 3. At the prompt press F8 and then use -v as boot flag and press enter. 4. Check whether there are error or not. If every thing goes well, you will see Welcome screen. 5. Go to Utilities -> Disk Utilities and format the new partition as HFS+ Journalised. 6. Install OSX on the partition. 7. After install reboot with Install disk kept in DVD, do not remove it. 8. Do your settings, You will get OSX desktop, now download a bootloader (Chameleon for instance) install the bootloader. 9. Reboot. Now you will get a boot menu to choose your OS. There might be problem when you choose Vista to boot. If its there don't worry. Reboot using Vista Disk -> go to terminal -> use diskpart and make Vista partition active. Again reboot using Vista Disk and use startup repair. Once the repair is done, you can boot Vista. Now use diskpart again and make OSX partition active. Your dual boot (Vista and OSX) is ready. If you have any problem then post. wizkidweb
lol well, installing OSX on a PC is not for the weak minded... It took me nearly a month to get it fully working on my T4210 Tablet. However, if you have the right hardware (which are mentioned scattered around this forum), those instructions above are a breeze. I built a hackintosh using recommended hardware and it works perfectly. I also added the apple sticker from my iPod case ^^ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144344-vista-ultimate-osx-86/#findComment-1027305 Share on other sites
jimf81
I am trying to install it with dual boot of Vista on second partition. I also have a fujitsi T4210. I am using the kalaway 10.5.2 install dvd. After its installed all i get is a blank blue screen on boot. Do you have any ideas on how to get around that? What distro and options did you choose? Kernel drivers etc...? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
