Seepositive
IDE or SATA? Either way, first thing I would do is switch its position. If it's the master, make it the slave. If it's SATA, drop it on another channel.....etc. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144248-cddvd-drive-not-useable-in-osx/#findComment-1024488 Share on other sites
A320
I have had the exact same issue and still no fix. I am using iDeneb's 10.5.5 and have an IDE NEC 2510A drive. It's the only IDE device in my system. someone had suggested to install IOATAFamily.kext (found in these forums) with kext helper but I seem to remember that would mess up my OS X completely and wouldn't be able to reboot into it. Any other suggestions? Am I selecting a wrong option during the iDeneb install selection screen?
