Superfulcrum
I have tried this dvd on my acer aspire 9300 and it doesn't boot at all. Am I meant to be patching it first to because of efi? Whats the best option for this machine. Would tiger be less stressfull? After 20 years with pcs I gave up and bought an intel iMAC which is great and I thought I might turn my sons laptop into a hackintosh but I get the feeling its going to take days....thanks for any ideas...rob Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144185-ideneb-v13-1055iso-on-amd-turion-64/ Share on other sites
Tisker
I have Acer Aspire 9300 too. Great notebook, but only for Windows =) Yesterday I tried to istall: iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 - bootloader stated and I saw welcome message "boot" no one step to go ahead - I tried -v, -x, -f - install process get me errors " some files was not founded" etc. iATKOS 5i 10.5.5 - something with iDeneb Leo4All - approximatelly like previous two results =((((( PS. I did upgrade BIOS version for my notebook. Old ver 1.6 - new ver Phoenix 1.20 - and this is no mean for installed hackintosh. I do not know what can I do to install mac os on this notebook. I will try next builds: iPC 10.5.6 (beta), XxX 10.5.6 (Leo4All) and Zephyroth Leopard 10.5.2 for AMD EFI. I want to know bring my notebook to street-recycledbin or not =) PS. You are the first user of Acer Aspire 9300 that I find who try to install hackintosh on it. Superfulcrum
I have tried a couple more and none of them say squat...just spins the disc a bit and then boots into windows. I know I am a million miles away from any success but why don't I get any action from my dvds am I missing the first step. I thought I would see which package got me the furthest and then concentrate on that and do all the research that is required. ADRIAN which iso/dvd/blahblah did you get working on your acer? Cheers for the replies everyone...rob. ps Using a windows machine in anger for the first time in over a month is fecking painful!!!! adrian88
i used the JAS 1.4.8. SSE2SSE3 Release. Wanted to install it again, but unfortunately my dvd is a bit scratched up so that ive got to load it again. You know whats cool about the iDeneb? It automatically recognizes the built in sata drive, what never worked with JAS. I had to insall it on an external hdd an boot it from there. Nowadays im trying to install it on an external usb stick which should work too. Any progess? Which dvds did you try? Superfulcrum
I'm burning JAS 10.4.8 write now but so far i have tried Kalway 10.5.2, iPC 10.5.6, and iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5, and I always just get a boot straight into widoze but I have spent no time on it and think I am missing some of the very basics that I must do to even get a vague hello from anything Mac like on the Acer. I'll try and report on the JAS tomorrow....rob Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144185-ideneb-v13-1055iso-on-amd-turion-64/#findComment-1028350 Share on other sites
