paulscode
Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I can't start my own topic yet, and the title for this thread fits my topic best. I am looking to buy a new Wireless N PCI adapter, and I want to get one that will work out-of-the-box in Snow Leopard, 64-bit (preferably one that is compatible on Windows XP and Linux as well). Any recommendations? I don't mind running an installation package or dropping in a kext, but the simpler the process the better. And please confirm if you've done it first-hand, as well (there are too many topics on what "should work", which has consistently made my attempts at searching the forums fruitless). If there is already another thread that has this information, please post the link. --EDIT-- After digging around some more, I'm kind of thinking the TP-Link TL-WN951N would be a good option. From that thread, setup looks simple (just plop in AtherosFix kext to use in 64-bit), most people there reported it works, and it is also compatible for XP and Linux. paulscode
I went ahead and bought a TP-LINK TL-WN951N. It wasn't quite plug-and-play to get it running in 64-bit mode, but I got it working after fiddling around for a couple of hours, as mentioned in this thread. Wireless-N networking was the last thing I needed to figure out - My Hackintosh is now fully operational.
