Ok, here are my specs, I'll edit my sig after this.

XFX 780i motherboard

6GB PC2-6400 RAM

8800GT 512 MB

LG USB DVD Drive

IDE DVD drive

500GB SATA HDD drive

and an iAtkos v1.0i DVD

So when I choose to boot from the USB DVD drive with the DVD in it, I get the Bootloader, but ANY command I enter is met with an instant reboot. I burned at 4x in Nero. Do I need to try another burn?

I also have a Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD, but I think it's faulty because it freezes randomly during the installation.

Thanks for the reply.

Because I found a complete guide for it and that's what I was looking for. I guess I could try getting version 5. But now I have a question about the Kalyway DVD. I disconnected my IDE DVD drive, and it seems to have allowed me to get further with the -v command. But I run into this error "nfs_boot_ init" fail. And sometimes "UIM" unable to initialize. I'm trying to install onto the primary partition on my HDD, so would the command be rd=disk0s2 or s1?

And yes, I'm completely new at this, but I figure I'll keep trying on my own until someone responds with a fix.

Thanks for the reply.

Check out my Series 7 nForce chipset + Intel CPU MOBO thread here.......and my blog install guides and other blog entries.......they should help you.......Kalyway 10.5.2 is OK to use as you can update to 10.5.5 using Mysticus C* 10.5.5 Combo Updater packages.......hopefully 10.5.6 a little while later..... ;)
