blackfireshipo Posted December 28, 2008 Share Posted December 28, 2008 i have leo install and run good but i would like to get drivers for my gigabyte sata-II controller and im have some trouble with my ram. the ram thing is that if i have 2 gig's of ram in every thing will work just fine but win i put in my other 2 gig's thing start crashing and not working right and i cant find any drivers for my sata controller. system specs intell core due 2.4 ghz 500 gb sata hdd geforce 8500 gt 512 mb gigabyte ga-965p-s3 motherboard 2 gb of ram (some day 4 gb) leoprd 10.5.5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143380-gigabyte-ga-965p-s3-sata-and-ram-help/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
MacUser2525 Posted December 29, 2008 Share Posted December 29, 2008 You need to set the controller in the BIOS to AHCI mode once done you should be able to use your 4gb without problems, the crashes are due to the Jmicron controller used on the board for IDE/SATA devices.
