IciniMac Posted December 28, 2008 Share Posted December 28, 2008 Trying to get an Asus EN8500GT 512MB card to install. Tried EFIStudio, with & without 9f23installer pkg, but it always hangs. Currently I can install 10.5.4 using boot132 onto my Foxconn 45GMX/E5200 combo using the onboard video, and can successfully upgrade to 10.5.5. Everything was easy until I got to trying to add this video card. Searched through the forum, but see more disheartening news than enlightenment. I would very much appreciate if someone has solved using an 8500GT with 10.5.5 and can show me the golden path? What are you running for an install...patched or vanilla...? I have the same card; I tried that NVinject and it caused my system to freeze on boot, not even a black screen. No interesting error messages when verbose either. Hrmph. I tried it with and without 9f23. Hrmph. UPDATE Ok, I tried installing the ktext on clean install. This time I got a black screen, no mouse, no responsiveness.
