When I am old enough this summer I may be able to get a job to save up money for one. I think owning a mac would be special and I would cherish the computer for several years to come. How far will they drop in price this year do you guys think? If anyone could be so kind to tell me where I could possibly get some deals on macbooks used or new, I would appreciate it and it would help me out to the biggest extent. Thanks for reading. xofilol Posted December 28, 2008 Share Posted December 28, 2008 With the economy so bad, and PC laptops at their lowest prices ever, I don't see how Apple can keep acting like they live on a different planet. Sure, the white plastic macbook is on sale for $999, but that's only because Apple correctly figures that anyone who wants a new one will want the aluminum one. With stores selling their stock at 70% off retail, Apple needs to be selling the aluminum one at at least $999 also.
