Someone else might have another opinion about that, but if you are running an E8500 DDR2 seems a bit more sensible. Maybe you have alternative motives. Also the ram you have selected is DDR2. For the same price you can get the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R. Also I think the E8500 is a great choice.
