M J
I'm using boot-132 method, but I get an error when, after switching the boot-132 CD with the Retail Leoprad DVD (original), it starts loading the extensions. It loads everything, but while loading i get 4 errors that say: EBIOS read error: Error 0x01 Block 16432736 Sectors 64 When it ends the loading process the following appears: Errors encountered when starting the computer Pausing 5 seconds... ...and 5 seconds later the system reboots Any idea?? hecker
These errors are normal but the rebooting isn't. It's probably your Boot-132 device not loading properly. Make sure you use the correct kext files and kernel for your PC and that you enter the correct boot parameters. M J
Booting with -v option shows that error when it tries to read /System/Library/Extensions.mkext from the retail DVD... is it really possible that the problem is in the Boot-132 disc? others say that the problem is because of a badly-burnt DVD, but mine is original and it shouldn't have such a problem, right? I used the generic .iso for the boot-132 disc, i'll try building a specific one now... anybody with other ideas? M J
it looks like i solved this one, just to find the next error! what i did was to use this method to build my own boot-132 cd and boot the retail DVD with voodoo kernel 9.5. at first it looked like it worked, since i didn't get those errors anymore, but right at the end of the booting sequence (still the very first one, while the DVD loads into memory, before any install screen) i get an instant reboot of the system.
