Hi,

I have a Dell running OSX 10.4.3. However, I was told that I need 10.4.4 if I want to run software such as iLife, without having to modify the software. I noticed that on apple's website there was a 10.4.3 to 10.4.4 updater. Would this work, or should I just download the 10.4.4 install dvd and go from there. If possible I would like to avoid downloading another 4 gb dvd. So here is the link to the update on apple's site.

Previously I had read that 10.4.4 was the first version released to the public, but on this website, it had updates starting as far back as 10.4.1. It's a 100mb download which I would much rather download than a 4gb file-- if it works that is. If anyone knows please let me know if this would work for me.

Thanks!

I actually made a post of this which is probably at the end of the first page or the top of the second. I tried downloading the update and it didn't work (I was told it wasen't going to work but I wanted to try anyways).

I'm trying to find patched upgrades.

There is no official 10.4.3 for x86 platform.. its a developer version..

The update you see on apple's website from 10.4.3 ->10.4.4 is for ppc

for mactel the software starts with 10.4.4 (this is the one shipped with the mactels)

from 10.4.3 your best options is to download 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 updateded dvd..
