LoL Well, today has been quite a progressive day for me. Going from being unable to install leopard to having a full install running with sound, LAN, and video. Infact I'm writing this from Leopard 10.5.2. ONLY problem I'm having now, is that I don't have Quartz Extreme enabled.. :/ I have a Geforce 7600 GS 512MB PCI-E... oh hell, let me show you..

Can't seem to enable Quartz Extreme for ANYTHING.. driving me crazy..

If you install iATKOS 5i, you can select GeForce 7600 in the installer options, and you won't be running a seriously out of date version of Leopard..

Yeah, thinking about nabbing iATKOS, but how is the support for that graphics card? I could only boot ideneb 10.5.5 in safe mode with the -x command, and Leo4ALL3 regularly..

I'm also on an AMD PC, and I believe iATKOS is only Intel.

Hello Hiroshi

Congratulations on your great achievement!

You got a great present for Christmas huh! ;)

I have a hardware that seens like your and I'm breaking my head to work, has already spent 2 nigths without sleep and the maximum i could do was boot in SAFE MODE with command -v-x in Darwin.

I am using the distribution Ideneb v1.3 10.5.5 and when I try to boot the system in normal mode it hangs with multiple error messages on the nForce controller.

One error that intrigues me is:

AppleNForceATA: warning: phy connection failed. status = 0x00000000

I followed your posts on the forum and saw that achieved great progress.

maybe you can help me in some questions

What was the exact distribution that these results achieved?

Which drivers do you use?

Did you had to modify these drivers or do you used the native drivers of the distribution?

thank you for your attention.

Excuse my horrible English.
