1233666666 Posted April 7, 2006 Share Posted April 7, 2006 Hey All, I've been trying for ages to get my x800GT working, then I remembered I flashed it to an x800GTO (It has an R480 core ) So, I whipped out my GPU's bios CD and restored it, patched the ATIRadeon9700.kext for my device ID, and BOOM! QT and CI both enabled. I'm yet to change the resolution. There were some mouse artifacts, but I just installed Mousepose and that fixes it. Does anyone know how to set the refresh rate any higher than 60? I also have a X800GT with the original Bios but I'm unable to activate QE and CI, could you tell me please what you edited? or point me to the tutorial you used?, I have been trying for months with no luck. twmsdude Posted April 20, 2008 Share Posted April 20, 2008 I have had success with a Sapphire x850gt, which is said to be unsupported by all hacks. Well that's not true. I used the callisto kext's and the atiradeon9700 and atiradeon9700ga kexts that i modified myself to match the device id of my card and got res, refresh rate changing, QE and Cl all working. Of course there are the usual mouse artifacts, but installing mouse locator solved that problem quick and painlessly. I used the x800 guide from in the graphics cards section of the forum. navskin Posted April 24, 2008 Share Posted April 24, 2008 you try this command when you boot up worked for me "Graphics Mode 1024 X 1024 @ 75" whithout the quotes. or the command was somthing like that google it to make sure.
