Just got Leopard running, updated it, installed chameleon and the Voodoo kernel and everything seems to be going good, except i cant get my 7900GS to work. I have tried NVinject and natit, but nether seem to work. I removed all kext dealing with anything related to those including geforce* and nv*, and installed 9f23 installer from scottdangel's site that modifies the apple.boot.plist and adds efi strings. The card seems to be recognized well enough in sys pro., but it claims that QE is not supported. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the Nvidia GeForce 7900GS Go 512MB in my laptop.

I am running Leopard 10.5.6 with full QE/CI with NVinject 0.2.2 and vanilla NVidia kexts

I not sure if what worked for me will also work for you.

I have been using Leopard ever since it came out. For Leopard 10.5.0, 10.5.1 and 10.5.2, all I had to do is throw in NVinject, clear the caches and repair permissions and QE/CI was enabled no problem.

But starting with 10.5.3, I had to do additional steps:

- In the info.plist of NVinject, I changed the IOProbeScore from 60000 to 0, that's right zero.

-In the info.plist of Geforce.kext, NVDANV40Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext, I added my device id: 029810de. In your case it's 029210de.

I keep using the same NVinject 0.2.2 with the IOProbeScore edited to zero. Each time I update, I have to add my device id in the new version of GeForce.kext, NVDANV40Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext. I always use the vanilla NVidia kexts that come with the new version.

That's what I have been doing since 10.5.3 and my QE/CI has always been enabled, even up to now with Leopard 10.5.6.

I have a 7900 GS and it works fine with either EFI string generated using OSX86Tools or using DiaboiK's NVkush on 10.5.6. Full QE/CI/Rotation. This is the XFX GeForce 7900 GS 256MB XT GDDR3 PCIe.

No go here, tried that and it still refuses to work on mine.. Cannot get Quartz Extreme no matter what I do.
