Hey everyone im obviously new here and to all of this lol

My PC consists of the following

Dell inspiron 530

Intel core 2 quad Q6600 @ 2.40ghz

Instructions = MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3,SSSE3, EM64T

Motherboard = Dell inc. 0FM586 ( Chipset intel P35, G33, G31 )

RAM = 4gb DDR2

Nvidia geforce fx 8500 512mb PCI-E

HDD = 1st (windows xp professional) SATA 150 GB, 2nd (osx leopard installation) SATA 80 GB

As suggested in the thread topic, i have succesfully installed kalyway 10.5.2 with vanilla kernal, after install i restart go to boot options to select 80GB osx HDD, it starts up i get the welcome video, then asked about my keyboard ( im currently using the standard dell usb one ), and next i go to a screen asking me if ive owned a mac before, i click on the option where i wish not to restore anything, the system takes a while to move on, i breifly get a grey screen after with a mouse cursor for about 5 to 10 seconds then the screen goes black and repeats the whole sequence again, its like a vicious loop is there any solutions to this ? your help is very much appreciated

Ok so after a bit of rooting around ive found that this is a common problem apparantly, and this is apparantly the solution

-s at darwin bootloader

/sbin/fsck -fy <--step one-Type this first then enter

/sbin/mount -uw / <-- step2- type this then enter

passwd root <--step 3-type this then enter..now, it will ask you to enter a new password

enter password..then enter..(remember at this point..there is no **** to hide your pass neither visible of your pass..but it blank..noted that what you type is actually write but there is nothing to show at the screen as Apple does this..)

reenter password to confirm password..

touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

reboot <--type this and enter

Ive tried to execute this, but im constantly getting stuck on the 3rd step where i enter "passwd root" to change the password, when i type this and push enter it instead gives me an error, "error 35" ring any bells for anyone?

Just as i thought i found the solution another problem pops up, can anyone here help me out here please, instead of this thread getting burried deeper and deeper in to this forum :)
