The Gigabyte GA-P35-DS Series of motherboards have long been considered the most compatible OSx86 motherboards on the market. Now that they are no longer available, what motherboard replaces them as the most OSx86 compatible MB on the market?

I have been reading the HCL and this forum and have yet to spot the new OSx86 motherboard leader. If you have found a currently available motherboard that everything works perfectly with OSx86 and it was easy to setup please let me and the rest of the forum members know about it.

  1. What Motherboard?
  2. What Installation Method (iATKOS, iDeneb, Leo4all, Kalyway, Retail DVD)?
  3. Settings needed to get it to work?
  4. Any extra kexts needed?

Thanks,

David.

You're right, the famous GA-P35-DS4 was one of the most OSX86 compatible boards, maybe it was the most compatible in those days. Now Gigabyte has new series, virtually any GA-EP45-*** should be fine, I have great experience with GA-EP45-DQ6, see this thread for further details, it is also fully EFI-X compatible.
