thursday320
Hey, got a bit of a problem and am wondering if anyone else had this happen to them and if so what they did about it. The other night I was on and noticed that literally none of my apps would open (example: Ichat, Itunes, ect) they would all crash and what not. My first reaction (maybe a bad reaction looking back) was to restart my computer. Now when I attempt to start my computer the Apple logo and gear pop up but shortly after a message comes up saying I need to restart. This happens everytime and I cannot get passed the Apple logo and spinning gear at start up. I tried holding shift to get into safe mode but the same thing happens. What should I attempt to do? Would it be a good idea to re-install my OS? Or is this something out of my hands? Thanks! Berzerker
Pop in the Install CD (DVD) and try a repair disk in Disk Utility, see if that helps. And as far as fixing it, I would say listen to Berzerker and repair the disk permissions from the OS X install disk. If that doesn't work, then I guess it's time to reinstall OS X.
