torrentmasta
I recently tried installing ideneb v1.3 10.5.5 leopard on a Dell Dimension 8100 desktop. It went through the installation without much of a problem, but when the computer tries to boot into the OS it just keeps rebooting. I tried a variety of boot options (-v, -s, -x) but it doesn't show anything. I just did a regular install without doing any customizing it. I went through pages and pages of the forums and it seems quite a few people have this issue, but not a single person has responded to anyone's questions for help. We (the people who are having this issue) would really appreciate some help in this issue as it is frustrating. I have tried several different hardware configurations to see if it made a difference but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can provide the hardware specs of the machine if it is helpful. I am going to try a earlier version of OSX and see if that boots (kalyway 10.5.1), i will provide some feedback later. Black Hat Villain
I was getting the same thing BEFORE I tried booting with a different Kernel. Try all the listed Kernels in Ideneb first. The one that gave me luck was the last one listed in the kernel section of the installation. I think it was 9.22 but it only supported SSE3. Try that. torrentmasta
I tried your suggestion, but i am not sure if i am doing it correctly. i entered on the command line boot: "vanilla" (nothing) boot: "StageXNU" (nothing) and all the rest that were listed. Is that the correct way to enter it on the command line? Pardon the Noobiness, i am not all that familiar with OSX command line. mnd643
Make sure that you select the correct kext's for your computers hardware. That ended up being the issue for my desktop...i had an 8800GTS card but didnt select the nvkush kext. Now it works.
