nate256 Posted December 20, 2008 Share Posted December 20, 2008 So i was updating my system and during the update i got a kernel panic, now whenever i turn on my computer, when it trued to boot OS X I get a kernel panic. Is there a way for me to recover my install cause I have a lot of software and stuff that would be real hard to get back!!! underMac OS version, It says "Not yet set" as it got bricked in an update to the latest version. hecker Posted December 20, 2008 Share Posted December 20, 2008 Well, it sound like it would be hard to fix the system in it's current state. Have you tried booting with -x ? The best way to go would be to install OS X on a separate drive and then recover your files from there. Good luck!
