Okay, everything works except for the fact that Transmission and other heavy network activity are causing a kernel panic with the Voodoo 9.5.0 1.0 REV A kernel. I've tried the StageXNU before but I didn't like it because it caused my computer to randomly restart. Are there any other kernels that I could try? If so, where do I find them? I've spent tons of time searching on Google but to no avail.

Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 x2 4600

4 Gigs of ram

320 gig sata hd

Gigabyte M61S-P (Something like that)

EDIT: UPDATE!

I installed the modified AppleNforceATA drivers from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=127611 but now I only have 11 mb of free memory when running transmission :S

Firstly, if installing a modified AppleNforceATA driver caused the second issue, why not revert back to your old one?

As for the panics, you could try the Voodoo Release Candidate. I get a kernel panic during start-up with Rev A, but no panic with the RC. It's available on the xnu-dev site, just enable old downloads in the downloads section.

It would seem to me to be whatever kext is controlling whatever network device you're using might be doing it, seeing as it's network activity that's doing it. You say the problem is with Transmission and "other heavy network activity"; what heavy activity is this? If you can't reproduce the panics without Transmission running, try using a nightly build.
