I need help with my Darwin bootloader, I try and boot right off the disc that OS X is installed on, but theres just a flashing cursor like this _ and it does nothing, the only way I can boot OS X is from the DVD using the command rd=disk0s3. Are there ANY ways I can boot OS X without the DVD, I don't care if it is another bootloader.

This started to happen after I reinstalled OS X. I tried making a new bootloader through the single user mode, and flagged partition 1 (the Darwin Bootloader) as active and now I get an HFS+ Partition Error.

Try to get back in in DVD way do a fsck -fy

than try to restore you're efi stuff, there's tutorial around
