trond
Hi, I get the black screen of death for Kalaway 10.5.1 and wanna try newer NVInject drivers. I can only start machine in single usermode (-s). I have new drivers on both USB pen and burt to CDROM but cannot mount any of them in single user mode. I cannot find a way to mount the usb nor CDROM in single user mode. Part of the problem is that i cannot find the device name to mount. There is no /dev/"cdrom" or /dev/"usb" to mount, so I cannot do "mount /dev/cdrom /Volumes/cdrom" (btw, -x does start up but keeps looping in the initial registration screen and therefore not creating a user. I have had no luck creating a user with dscl command either) It is driving me nuts Help appreciated! hecker
I would suggest removing the offending kext file from your Extensions folder in single user mode. There you can mount your main drive and do changes. Or you could try booting with your installation DVD using these parameters at the darwin prompt: rd=diskXsY Replace X and Y with your partition's identification numbers, of course. Good luck.
