Deep sleep doesn't work here, but I updated to 10.5.6.

Just followed the same procedure (basically this)), but on boot, Chameleon says something like "sleepimage has garbage".

I don't really care about deep sleep anyway. After update I just had to replace backup kexts for Airport and Keyboard/Trackpad.

I'm on a HP dv5250 by the way.

Hi!

Mount .DMGs vork with you?

I use Voodoo kernel (all vanilla but only kernel for sleep, etc...) upgrade my system to 10.5.6 ,mount dmg i got kernel panic :(

Vanilla kernel does not work, DSDT patcher fails for me.

Any solution?

i updated from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6 with the standalone installer (372 mb). Before i installed the update i used pcwiz's app (link below) to install efi 9 and patch the dsdt file. Very easy. I have no idea what dsdt is or does but i read that you need to do it for 10.5.6....

the 10.5.6 update went ok (used netkas method, google it) for me except mounting almost any dmg now results in a kernel panic. Worked fine before in 10.5.5. I read somewhere your system.kext and kernel have to match. i tried going back to my 10.5.5 system.kext that but it didnt fix it.

I cant run vanilla kernels. i use the voodoo kernel. i tried different kernels...but dmg's dont mount!
