LewisHardbone
Hello all, I've been working on installing 10.5.2 all day, and I've almost got it. I finally got into the install process after a couple of annoying problems with the loader hanging, but for some reason it only sees my 2 SATA drives and not the IDE I formatted for the purpose of this install. I've Googled this issue and all that seems to come up is people not being able to see their SATA drives. I've tried unplugging both SATA's, and it still refuses to recognize the IDE drive. Here are the relevant specs: Pentium 4 3.2 ASUS P4P800E MAXTOR 6L040J2 hard drive(the IDE that is visible in the BIOS, but never in the install process) WDC WD1600JD(SATA - is seen by the installer) WDC WD500AACS(SATA - is seen by the installer) Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Any help is much appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140887-install-issue-with-kalyway-1052/ Share on other sites

Gujal
Kalyway 10.5.2 may not see the IDE ports of ICHx chipset. Try newer distributions such as iDeneb v1.3 or iAtkos 5i Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140887-install-issue-with-kalyway-1052/#findComment-998816 Share on other sites
