HELP! "still waiting for Root device" on first reboot

Ok so i installed OSX 10.5.5 on My Dell Dimension 4400, the install went great, but the restart is giving me HELL.

 

During reboot it will give me the apple boot screen with a gray "Do not enter" sign, with -v i get this

my Config

 

intel Pentium 4

Ati radion 9500

2 Hard drives

2 Disk Drives, one not in use because of IDE config ( But I really Don't Care)

Sound Blaster Sound Card

 

any insight or links would be appreciated

hey men that is a problem with the way u have conected the hard drives and the cd rom try changing the cables around or try disconnecting some and leave just one hard drive on the master and one dvd rom on the slave.

but if that was the problem then why would the DVD boot?

i don't know men im kind of new on this.. that happend to me once but not even the installation worked, it was the motherboard, i got me an intel one and everything worked out. sorry i don't have a lot of help for you.
