Have you tried downloading and reinstalling your graphics driver? I have had some funny issues where I do a fresh install and for some reason the graphics driver doesn't stick or only halfway works as in all the resolution choices but no QE. Take you pick NVinject: http://nvinject.free.fr/ NVkush: http://diabolik1605.com/DHF/ or whatever other driver you like.

You may already know this with this but Ill add it anyway as I just posted the same thing a short while ago.

1. Removed all video related kexts (nvkush, nvinject...)

2. Copied yourkext.kext to /System/Library/Extensions

3. In Terminal wrote:

sudo chmod -R 755 /System/LibraryExtensions/yourkext.kext

4. Copied yourkext.kext to /System/Library/Extensions

5. Entered your admin password when prompted

6. In Terminal wrote:

sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/yourkext.kext
 sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache
 sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

7. Restarted and used the boot flags:

-v -f -F

I thank you for your help but I am kind of a newbie to the osx86 and im not real sure which are the nvidia kext I am supposed to delete. Are nvkush and nvject the only ones it would be? I do have a nvject and a natit that I see but i'm afraid if I start deleting things, im going to mess things up. I have it running great...even ichat works well. Thank you for the help.

Photo Booth says your video card is not supported? Or you check System Profiler and it says your card is not supported.

Go to "About This Mac" and click "More info" This will load System Profiler. What does it say under Graphics/Displays?

One thing that could have saved me hours of install time was to back up your installation. It is quite easy. What you need is a second harddrive (internal or external) or even just a second partition.

My method of backing up:

1. Boot into you install disk

2. Select Disk Utility from the menu bar

3. Click on the drive/partition where you installed OSX and select unmount

4. Go to (File/New disk image) and select the drive/partition you just unmounted

5. Now select where you want to save it to (External drive, second internal drive or a second partition) I generally select Image Format: Read Only as I am not concerned with how much space it takes up but you can select Compressed.

What your left with is an image of your drive. You can restore the image or even mount it and pull old files.

But definitely post what System Profiler lists for your graphics as mentioned at the top.

I had issues with my Photobooth when i upgraded from like 10.5.1 to 10.5.2. What I did to fix mine is basically delete the version of Photobooth you have on your computer now, and just put on the "old" version of photobooth that worked. Basically take Photobooth from like a Kalyway 10.5.1 install disk and use that. Fixed mine. Worth a shot!
