Sajk
Hello! I've been reading a whole lot about installing OSx on my laptop for a while now and I still have not found an answer to my question. The laptop that i want to install OSx on is a A, Acer Aspire 5101 AWLMI (AMD Turion64@2GHz CPU , 1GB RAM, 160GB HD, ATI Radeon Xpress 1100M card) Right now im running XP on it with my flat-screen connected through the VGA output (the only TV-output its got), the thing is that my flat-screen only recognizes the laptop with the resolution 1360x768 and 1280x768. Now my question is will i be able to use my VGA output to connect to my flat-screen if i install OSx on my laptop. since i've been reading that there is some trouble with the resolutions with my Graphics Card. If anyone has the answer to my problem I would really appreciate it, becuse I really want to have OSx on my laptop. Sajk
Okey, but what does that exactly mean? I did a google search on it but that didn't make me any smarter.. maybe i should have asked this before but if i install OSx will i even be able to play movies on my laptop at all due to the graphics? Becuse right now im kinda using it like a multimedia machine. sama7896
will i even be able to play movies on my laptop at all due to the graphics? Because right now i'm kinda using it like a multimedia machine. no movies without huge lags, no way to get that resolution (you'll be stuck with 1024/768) stick to XP, on your specs it's your best choice Plus, OS X is not that much milk and honey, it's just addictive... except for that, you'll find that XP suits a user's needs better. But you gotta try it .... , it's worth it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140418-acer-aspire-5101/#findComment-994580 Share on other sites
