Trograin
Heloo everyone. I have gotten meself a very weird problem. I will start off by telling my setup on me comp. MB: P5K Pro Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio (883) LAN: Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller Disks: Seagate ST3160032A SCSI Disk Device + WDC WD1200JD-00HBC0 ATA Device Graphical card: ATI X1950 Pro 256Mb DVD Burner: _NEC DVD_RW ND-3540A SCSI CdRom Device Ram: 3*1Gb Kingston 800Mhz CL5 Now here comes my problem. I have been using iDeneb 10.5.5 DVD to install 3 days ago a almost fuly working OSX86 on me setup. First time when I tryed I added except running with teh Vanilla kernel two patches for the chipset. One is for the ICHR since my motherboard is using the ICHR9 I added this patch ( Followed the OSX86 Wiki for my motherboard) and allso I added the patch for VIA Sis Marvell and SB Chipsets since my MB is using the Marvell IDE driver for running ATA and IDE. Except that I added the sgk patch for the network card and the 883 patch for sound and injector 19x0 for ATI. This did not work. It gave me an error complaining at the VIAATA so I decided to try without the VIA Sis Marvell and SB Chipsets. Well this time it worked, I booted up after the isntallation and I got to teh login, did the setup and voila a working system, the graphical part and sound had to be tweake a bit but nothing hard an I got fully working graphical device. One setback hough, I coudl see my Vista C drive but not my IDE Drive ( a storage 160Gb drive) and I could NOT use my DVDrom since its IDE..... Not a fun thing. I tryed to find a solution everywhere but coudlnt find anythign that worked. Finally I decided to try a reinstall...... that mad emy day... or last 2 days that is. Since then I can not get a working installation, not even when I choose exactly same options as I did when I got the installation to work first time. I have formated the partition ( Yess the OSX partition is on same HD as my Vista Partition, Darwin still works fine even though the installation does not), I have eerased it even with the zeroing part. I have used GParted to format the partition and activate it and then with diskutils erase it with a HFS Journaling filesystem, and nothing works. I have been trying to use the patched kernels and still nothing... Is there ayone that has any idea whatsoever to what could be cousing this and any idea how I can get this to work, especially since my MB seems to work Out of the Box normally for others with similar setup. Any help is apriciated here. Thank youf or your time if ya help me out me friends. In the meentime I am getting me hands on a copy of iATKOS 5_i to try with taht one if it might help, but somethign tells me that I might have a larger problem then the DVD version here Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140406-ideneb-1055-on-p5k-pro-not-working/ Share on other sites
